Custom Body by Biddle and Smart 30 built, 5 exist today 45,000 Actual Miles In Excellent Running Order Fully Restored Interior
This model sports an F-Head In-line six cylinder engine which was developed in 1916. The F-Head's intake valves are found in the head and the exhaust valves in the block. This design rivaled the Cadillac's V-8 of the day.
While Hudson built some of their bodies in-house, they also out-sourced others. Biddle and Smart of Amesbury, Massachusetts, recognized as one of the most successful coach-builders of the time, were contracted to build the Dual-Cowl Phaetons, Landau Sedans and the Victorias. Until recently, only 4 of the original 31 Victorias built were thought to have survived. Owner Richard A. Blomquist, however, discovered number 5 in an airplane hangar in Seattle, Washington.
With just some minor cosmetic changes, including new and correct wool interior and new hub caps, this Biddle & Smart sparkles like a new penny exact in every detail right down to the snake skin ash trays and wild rose pattern on all door handles and trim.
